“Our professional choir is committed to creating performances more beautiful and inspiring than what composers and audiences could have imagined.” – Harold Rosenbaum
Led by Maestro Harold Rosenbaum, The New York Virtuoso Singers (NYVS) has proven that no work is too ambitious for its conductor or its world-class vocal ensemble. Founded as an outgrowth of a chorus-in-residence for the Brooklyn Philharmonic, NYVS has evolved into one of this country’s most respected professional choral ensembles, recognized worldwide for its artistry, precision and commitment to contemporary American choral music.
Awards and Recognition
NYVS is a four-time Chorus America/ASCAP Award winner for Adventurous Programming. Its recording of Andrew Imbrie’s Requiem with the Riverside Symphony earned a Grammy nomination and was named Critic’s Choice by Fanfare Magazine. These and numerous other honors confirm its status as one of the top professional choirs in the United States.
